OK Faithful readers, if you are interested in how to earn some money through your blog head on over to PayPerPost and check it out! I just signed up and it is easy to do. You sign up, they check your site and approve it, then you just scroll through all of their different opportunities and write about them on your blog. It couldn't be easier! Once they check and make sure you did the opportunity justice you get paid!!! You can also choose to donate your earnings to the Red Cross or Habitat for Humanity. Pretty darned cool if you ask me!!
I am looking forward to occasionally posting about different things. I was scrolling through and they have everything from garage floor sealant (you comment on it if you have used it) to rating coupon sites. It seems like there must be something for everyone. The thing that I like the best is that you get to choose which products/services you talk about and how often you want to do it. Talk about being in control!

Head on over to sign up to possibly win a FREE blog overhaul! This would really be neat! I would love a cooler collage of pics on my blog header--the one I have I did in the free Paint program that comes on all computers. We don't have anything fancy to do that with. It would also be cool to have some custom buttons and stuff on the blog.

OK That was really bad but I was thrilled with how this turned out. EJ is going to his first birthday party this weekend and I did a dry run of the cake we are going to take for the festivities. Jack's mom wanted a cow cake--that's all she said. This is what I came up with. (I am going to make Jack his own personal barn cupcake to dig into so everyone else can have a slice of cow).

And on a completely unrelated note---where could you find a Seafood Gas Station anywhere but the South?? We passed this gem yesterday on our way to a BBQ restaurant in Kenly. Yum! Nothing like Petrol and shrimp to get your engine going!

On an unrelated note we went back to the horrible night that are characteristic of life with Elijah. We were up from 3-5 last night :(

OK--one of you faithful blog readers questioned me as to why Elijah has "onion" as one of his words. I will admit is not the most common word for an 11 month old to have but we have a garden and we grew onions this year for the first time. Daddy harvested about 1/2 of them (80 onions!!) and we have them drying out on the porch. Elijah loves to play with the skin on the onions and he will even eat slices of onion raw (they are sweet slicing onions). After 1 day of having them on the porch Elijah was pointing and talking about the "nunions." Here is a cute video of him and his onions.

Here are some I am sure you can see-this was taken this evening at our annual Sunday School cookout.
Hope you enjoy!
Mr. Drama King--check out the wipeout at the end.
And just for fun a picture of Elijah enjoying his bubble bath tonight.

Elijah has "officially" started walking. He can take about 25 or 30 steps without falling down. He still prefers to crawl but he can walk when he wants to!! Last night was the big moment--he walked from Justin to me all the way around the dining room table taking 3 turns without falling! Here is a video of him taking a few steps--its dark but you can see him.

OK so this probably isn't the PC way to describe how he's sitting but it is what I called it growing up. I thought it was too cute.
Today he amazed me by understanding the "pretend" play we were doing with the kitchen we got in Cville. I took the spoon and dipped it in the pot and pretended to feed him. He opened his mouth and pretended to chew what I gave him, the dissolved into giggles at the silliness. He then proceeded to stab stuff with the fork and feed me--laughing each time.

Justin pointed this out to me when I got back in town. We didn't do a waterbirth with EJ because the idea of sitting in warm water in August was a HUGE turnoff for me. With a March baby coming I am a bit more open to the warm bath idea. Not so sure about the slip-n-slide though :)

(Is anyone else having trouble posting the title--Blogger won't let me click in the Title box)
Elijah had a great time this weekend at Granny and Grampy's house. Here is a video of him jumping off the diving board (he liked it).
Here are some more pics of the visit--Elijah meets a frog

Head on over to Adventures in Babywearing to enter this really awesome contest. You have the chance to win a combo-sling called the podonbutai. It is really neat looking and it comes from All Natural Mommies. There are tons of pics of the carrier at Adventures in Babywearing. It looks like a great way to carry a big baby. Now that I have another on the way I think it would be great to have a sling that could carry EJ easily and comfortably on my back. Here's hoping I am the lucky winner!!

After a quick recharge we headed out on some errands including a Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard visit. Elijah loved the peanut butter ice cream.
After another quick recharge we had some fun in the pool. EJ loved swimming, skimming and bug hunting in the skimmer. Click here for a video of him hunting the bugs.
After so much playing it was time for dinner. EJ enjoyed the corn on the cob the most. YUM!

Mmmm--Watermelon, hot dogs and baked beans! Elijah had a good 4th of July at our cookout with Nana and Papa.
Here he is helping Papa eat his birthday cake.
He actually got so dirty that we had to hose him off in the back yard!
Walking update: EJ is taking 6 or 7 steps on a regular basis now. Walking can't be too far off!
